Remember, it is sin to know what you ought to do and then not do it.
There are many tough decisions that we make everyday. A lot of times we simply weigh the pros and cons. However, the problem with that approach is the beneficiary is you.
Shifting your thinking away from “how can I benefit?” will allow you to invite God into the choices you make. Remember, a good decision today that benefits others but cost you something will bring peace to you now with long-term benefits.
Lord, we thank You for loving us as we were.
Romans 5:6, 8
We were weak and could not help ourselves. Then Christ came at the right time and gave His life for all sinners. But God showed His love to us. While we were still sinners, Christ died for us.
Christ died for us while we were still sinners. This demonstrates God’s love for us.
For God loved the world so much that He gave His only Son so that anyone who believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life.
When God shows us His favour, when He offers His forgiveness, His love, His mercy, His grace, His protection, His provision… He does so freely, but that favour did not come cheap.
