Surrender = Strength

Psalm 125:1
Those who trust in the Lord are like Mount Zion, which cannot be moved, but abides forever.

#PrayerForTheWeek – This Too Shall Pass

Thank You, God, that through prayer and Your Word we have the power of endurance beyond our understanding.
2 Corinthians 4:17

The little troubles we suffer now for a short time are making us ready for the great things God is going to give us forever.

Jesus is coming back! This reality is firmer than the ground you stand on.

Romans 8:24-25

That is why waiting does not diminish us, any more than waiting diminishes a pregnant mother. We are enlarged in the waiting. We, of course, don’t see what is enlarging us. But the longer we wait, the larger we become, and the more joyful our expectancy.

Often times our roots are deepened during a season of struggle.

Deuteronomy 11:2, 8

Remember today the discipline you learned from the Lord your God. (I’m not talking to your children. They didn’t see or experience any of this.) You saw and experienced His great power—His mighty hand and powerful arm. Obey all the commands I’m giving you today. Then you will have the strength to enter and take possession of the land once you’ve crossed the Jordan River.

The carnal self cannot live in harmony with the spiritual self.

Numbers 33:52, 55

Then drive out all the people living in the land in front of you. Destroy all their cut stones, and all their man-made gods, and all their high places. Drive out the people who live in the land in front of you. If you do not, then those who are allowed to stay will be like sharp pieces in your eyes and like thorns in your sides. They will trouble you in the land where you live.
