But joyful are those who have the God of Israel as their helper, whose hope is in the Lord their God. He made heaven and earth, the sea, and everything in them. He keeps every promise forever.
There is joy in the presence of the Lord, no matter the circumstances.
1 Corinthians 3:18-19
Let no man deceive himself. If any man among you thinks that he is wise in this age, he must become foolish, so that he may become wise. For the wisdom of this world is foolishness before God. For it is written, “He is the one who catches the wise in their craftiness”;
2 Peter 3:9
The Lord is not slow about His promise, as some count slowness, but is patient toward you, not wishing for any to perish but for all to come to repentance.
Lord, protect our minds from scattered thoughts & keep us focused on our walk with You.
1 Peter 1:13
So brace up your minds; be sober (circumspect, morally alert); set your hope wholly and unchangeably on the grace (divine favour) that is coming to you when Jesus Christ (the Messiah) is revealed.
1 Peter 2:24
Christ carried our sins in His body on the cross so we would stop living for sin and start living for what is right.
1 Peter 2:24
He Himself bore our sins in His body on the tree, that we may cease from sinning and live for righteousness. By His wounds you were healed.
So, chosen by God for this new life of love, dress in the wardrobe God picked out for you: compassion, kindness, humility, quiet strength, discipline. Be even-tempered, content with second place, quick to forgive an offense. Forgive as quickly and completely as the Master forgave you. And regardless of what else you put on, wear love. It’s your basic, all-purpose garment. Never be without it.
